Ryan graduated from Carleton University with a Double Honours Bachelor Degrees in Law with a Concentration in Business Law and Criminology and Criminal Justice in 2003 and 2004, respectively. He then travelled to Atlanta, Georgia, USA where he completed his Juris Doctor at the John Marshall Law School in 2008. During his time at John Marshall, he was selected to be Senior Research Editor for the John Marshall Law Journal and upon graduating, he received the Award for Academic Excellence in Torts.
Ryan returned to Ontario, where he quickly completed the National Committee on Accreditation foreign lawyers training program and was called to the Ontario Bar in June 2010.
Before joining Trianta Longo LLP, Ryan has worked for boutique personal injury and insurance defence firms in Toronto, Ontario. His experience includes personal injury litigation, accident benefits litigation and attendances before various levels of Court and government bodies including the Superior Court of Justice, the Court of Appeal, the Financial Services Commission of Ontario and the Workplace Safety and Insurance Appeals Tribunal. He utilizes his unique personal injury experience from both the Plaintiff and Defense sides in his efforts to obtain the best recovery possible.
In his spare time Ryan enjoys playing competitive basketball, spending time with his friends & family and enjoys travelling.
